Macclesfield Community Garden Centre provides a work focussed alternative to traditional day services and employment training for people with learning disabilities.
We are open! Monday - Friday 10.00am - 3.00pm
We are selling bedding plants, spring bulbs in the green and all kinds of other lovely things:
Handmade crafts including cards, fabric items, and unique handmade gifts
Items of individual upcycled furniture
Wooden bird boxes and tables, trugs, wheelbarrows and wishing wells
You will find us in West Park behind the children's playground.
Plenty of parking and the garden centre is fully accessible
Each plant sold enables a local disabled adult to learn new skills
As a Social Enterprise, Macclesfield Community Garden Centre is self sustaining, with all plants and products grown and sourced locally to support the local economy. In addition to providing both training and support to people with learning disabilities, the centre is a vibrant retail operation.
New Year New Us!
2016 has brought MCGC a completely refurbished warm room. Not only does this large space give us space to grow on tender seedlings early in the season, it is also a sociable and warm place to eat and work during the winter.
Our shop is also getting a face lift - we can't wait to show off the beautiful new fabric wall which we are planning, thanks to our dear friend and supporter, Fabric Paul!
This is also the time of year when we refurbish all our furniture, so when you come in to see us later in the year, you will be suitably impressed.
